How to Package LCD Screens

We at iNerdz Parts use two general packing methods when shipping our orders, depending on which packing materials are available. Following these steps will ensure minimal damage to your screens while in transit. We test all LCDs upon arrival and only pay out for working condition screens (functional LCD, digitizer, and flex cables). Your method of packing is purely your responsibilty--these are only guidelines.

1. Bubble Bag Method (Preferred)

Packaging Step 1

1. Insert all screens into bubble wrap bags and ensure the flex cables are not bent.

Packaging Step 2

2. Stack five screens on top of each together and wrap the stacks of five with a rubber band.

Packaging Step 3

3. Place a layer of filler inside the box, making sure to cover the sides. Examples: paper, packing peanuts, newspaper, bubble wrap, etc.

Packaging Step 4

4. Lay your stacks of LCDs with the flex cables facing inward (towards the middle of the box).

Packaging Step 5

5. Stuff filler into any gaps. Examples: paper, packing peanuts, newspaper, bubble wrap, etc.

Packaging Step 6

6. Add a few layers of filler on top to fill the box. Examples: paper, packing peanuts, newspaper, bubble wrap, etc.

Packaging Step 7

7. For tracking purposes, lay your packaging slip inside.

Packaging Step 8

8. Before sealing the box, close the lid and give it a hard shake. If you notice anything moving around, add more filler.

Packaging Step 9

9. Close the lid and secure with packing tape. It is good practice to tape the edges. Don’t forget to put the shipping label on the box!

2. Bubble Wrap Method

Packaging Step 1

1. Lay a sheet of bubble wrap down and place two LCDs face down two inches from the edge. Make sure the flex cables are not bent and facing inward.

Packaging Step 2

2. Fold the extra two inches of bubble wrap over the screens.

Packaging Step 3

3. Fold once and add LCDs face down on top.

Packaging Step 4

4. Continue until you have a total of 10 LCDs (5 LCDs on each side). It’s not recommended to wrap more than 10 LCD’s due to a higher possibility of being damaged while in transit.

Packaging Step 5

5. Wrap at least two layers of additional bubble wrap around the collection of LCDs. Secure the collection with a rubber band on each side.

Packaging Step 6

6. Place a layer of filler inside the box, making sure to cover the sides. Examples: paper, packing peanuts, newspaper, bubble wrap, etc.

Packaging Step 7

7. Lay your collection of LCDs towards the middle of the box (away from the sides).

Packaging Step 8

8. Stuff filler into any gaps. Examples: paper, packing peanuts, newspaper, bubble wrap, etc.

Packaging Step 9

9. Add a few layers of filler on top to fill the box. Examples: paper, packing peanuts, newspaper, bubble wrap, etc.

Packaging Step 10

10. For tracking purposes, lay your packaging slip inside.

Packaging Step 11

11. Before sealing the box, close the lid and give it a hard shake. If you notice anything moving around, add more filler.

Packaging Step 12
12. Close the lid and secure with packing tape. It is good practice to tape the edges. Don’t forget to put the shipping label on the box!
